Domaine Lesuffleur ‘Missus’ Cidre de Normandie, 2019, 750ml
Description
Domaine Lesuffleur's Missùs Cidre is a special cider cuvée that is only released in certain vintages. A selection of only sharp apples from Benoit Lesuffleur's two orchards in Friardel and Folletiere, which is generally not allowed under the Pays d'Auge appellation rules. This cider sees an additional year of aging on the lees in bottle before disgorgement. It has Riesling-like acidity, balanced by the texture from extended aging on the lees (around 30 months).
A note on the cost of this cider: while this cider is exceptional, the cost is derived primarily from the limited production and therefore scarcity. Without taking away from the quality of this bottle, we have better cider & perry options for a fraction of the price (including from Domaine Lesuffleur). This one's for those who enjoy the scarcity of a fleeting moment.
