Champagne Louise Brison A l'Aube de la Cote des Bar Brut Nature, 2016, 750ml
Description
The 2016 À L'Aube de la Côte des Bar smells elegantly and archetypically of a mixture of citrus, some light pome and stone fruit, patisserie and rock. It is mainly citrus notes along with abrasion and salt lemons that mix here with some white, still very crisp peach, some apple, but above all with oyster shells and crushed lime. The warm notes are brought into play by a little pastry. On the palate the 2016 À L'Aube de la Côte des Bar powerful and intense. The two grams of dosage can hardly be felt here, they must have been necessary to keep the champagne from appearing too uncompromising; because even so it appears to be straight - in a very pleasant way. The typical minerality and especially the acidity structure of the Kimmeridge provide a special clarity and intensity, the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir stands for light yellow and red aromas in interplay with rocks, herbs, lemon abrasion and the already mentioned oyster shells, which bring a hint of salt and iodine into play.
