Description
The altitudes of the Vigne Basse range from 50-100 meters above sea level and these Vermentino grapes are grown onTuscan loam and clay soil. This wine is 95% Vermentino (including clones of Rolle and Favorita from across the Mediterranean basin) & 5% Albarola. The 24 plots of Vermentino are further broken down into 50-70 different micro fermentations, all started with indigenous yeast by pied-du-cuve (essentially a wine sourdough starter). Most of the parcels have 24-48 hours of skin contact, which adds a slight structure to the wine. Tastes like green apples and orange zest.
